The Deanship of Student Affairs at the Abu Dhabi Campus organized an awareness seminar on premarital and comprehensive health screening, delivered by Her Excellency Dr. Omniyat Al-Hajri. The lecture highlighted the importance of medical and genetic screening before marriage in the UAE, emphasizing its role in detecting hereditary and infectious diseases that may affect couples or their future children.

Dr. Al-Hajri noted that the screening is free for UAE citizens and available for residents at a nominal fee. It can be conducted at primary healthcare centers under the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, with medical consultations provided when necessary.

Students engaged positively with the seminar, showing keen interest in the advice and information shared, and emphasized that such screenings help in making informed decisions and contribute to the health and well-being of families and the wider community.
